10 TIPS
EVENT FOLLOW-UP

Your event is over. You sigh with relief. Now it’s time to celebrate. But wait… though your event is over, your relationship with attendees should not be! It’s time for follow up. It’s the best time to connect with your event goers, thank them for attending. It’s time to engage your event sponsors to show your appreciation. It’s time to spark interest and raise awareness of future events and other ministry-related activities awaiting their involvement. Here are follow up tips to help you with this engagement:

1. Ask for their feedback – it’s valuable! If you use a survey, keep it short. Note: If you are a CBMC staff member, Microsoft Forms is a user-friendly, easy tool available to use for surveys / event feedback cards. PLEASE NOTE, FORMS/SURVEYS CAN BE CREATED IN THE NEW EVENT PLATFORM AND EMAILED/TEXTED TO REGISTRANTS DIRECTLY FROM THE PLATFORM.

2. Send them event related content such as video recaps and speaker materials .

3. Invite them to future events.

4. Thank the Sponsors and ensure you follow through with the perks that were included in the sponsorship.

5. Express your gratitude for Sponsors on your social media platforms .

6. Provide them with sponsorship opportunities for other CBMC events.

7. Encourage them to follow you on social media.

8. Provide them a discount code to use on future events. Everyone loves a discount!

9. Encourage them to rally their friends and coworkers to future events. They are your brand ambassadors!
